He needed to show the world that Dream Theater was in the past so teams up with ex-Symphony X vocalist Russell Allen and virtuoso guitarist Mike Orlando. So does this super-group’s first release prove that Portnoy’s moved on or does it end up falling flat on his face with Portnoy at Petrucci’s knees begging to rejoin Dream Theater?
